PARIS, Jan 5 (MENA) – The Iranian Resistance asked on Friday the UN Security Council to defend the legitimate and inalienable right of the Iranian people to “overthrow the religious fascism ruling Iran and to attain the freedom for which they have been demonstrating.
The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) also urged the Security Council to strongly condemn Iran’s regime and hold it accountable for killing defenseless and unarmed demonstrators.
“The regime actions constitute a clear crime against humanity, and confronting them is the responsibility of the United Nations,” the NCRI said a press release.
It said that at least 50 protesters have been shot and killed by the Revolutionary Guards during the first eight days of the protesters.
