(Sydney, Australia – 4.33 P.M. )  A high-ranking US commander has admitted that there was a “fair chance” that a coalition airstrike in Western Mosul killed a large number of Iraqi civilians.
He highlighted that the high civilian casualty rate is because of ISIS’ use of human shields.
“The enemy had a hand in this,” he added, stressing that “It sure looks like” the civilians have been forced to gather in the building by the terrorists. “What I don’t know is why they [the civilians] gathered there by the enemy?”
Days ago, a U.K.-based monitoring group, Airwars, have raised the alarm at what they say is a surge in U.S.-linked deaths in Iraq and Syria, asserting that 1,000 civilians have died this month alone in strikes by the U.S.-led coalition in Iraq and Syria.
